Nathan Ewell
Counseling Associate

Nathan Ewell is a counseling associate with the Oxford Counseling Collective and a graduate of Liberty University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. His diverse professional background — including roles as an ESL teacher, nurse, and nurse educator — uniquely equips him to support clients with a holistic understanding of both physical and mental health. From Lafayette County Schools to Spain to Japan, his cross cultural experience has allowed him to develop the ability to view situations from multiple perspectives and within specific cultural contexts.  This along with helping patients face difficult health challenges and students struggle in achieving goals has made him passionate about walking alongside clients from all walks of life, particularly those navigating life transitions, stress, and relationship challenges.

Nathan specializes in helping individuals and couples navigate a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, spiritual struggles, sexual health, identity issues, and more.  He is certified in SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) premarital and marital assessment and has completed Level 1 Training in the Gottman Method.

Active in his community, Nathan has served in leadership at his local church formerly as an elder and as chair of the missions committee.  He also enjoys coaching different combinations of his four children in sports through the Magnolia Youth League.  As an English major, even if he is a slow reader, he loves a good book and believes in the power of a good story.  You can see his recommendations on the resource page.
